As the school year is starting to wrap up, our Littleton High school girls tennis team is concluding their season. They had a super successful year and competed well against other schools. On top of that, this amazing team placed 2nd at regionals! Girls from our Littleton High School have also made it to state and are competing against many other schools starting tomorrow, May 8th.
Four people made it to state including Eva Brendlinger (junior) and Addison Rinehart (senior) who are both competing at state. Addison is all-conference honorable mention at Singles 2 and Eva is all-conference 2nd team at Singles 1. Marisa Pohlman and Lara Leonard also made it to state for Doubles 4 but aren’t competing.
When asking the girls tennis coach, Shelly Russell, about how she feels about going to state, she voiced how excited she is that so many of the people on the team made it to state. She also provided that it has been more than 20 years since they went to state last, so she is super stoked that they get the opportunity this season.
This competition will take place on Thursday (May 8th), Friday (May 9th), and Saturday (May 10th) depending on each competitor and the results of each match.
All of these girls have worked very hard to get to the position they are in right now. Congratulations on making it to state and good luck to all those who are competing over the next few days!
