Welcoming New teachers – Mr. Kirchner

Ryan Kirchner is the new Instructional Coach/ MYP Coordinator at LHS!

Mr Kirchner is a passionate MYP coordinator and coach. Before working at LHS, he taught high school and middle school science and math for 24 years. He comes to us after teaching middle school science at Aspen Academy. Before that, he enjoyed teaching internationally for 20 years, in Hong Kong, Thailand, and England. He began his career teaching in California, where he attended high school, although he was born in Eagle, Colorado. Outside of teaching, he is a huge Denver Broncos fan and loves to spend time with his kids, watching sports, and being outdoors. His kids are ages eight, eight, and eleven. His teaching career started when he was inspired by volunteering at a middle school during college. He found that connecting with students resonated with him, so he followed teaching. Over a year ago, his family moved back from Hong Kong, and soon he came to Littleton High School. He is organized, student-centered, and loves to support student-led pathways. He is most excited about learning and being a part of the culture at Littleton High School.

A quote that inspires Mr. Kirchner is, “focused effort is the key to success.” He’s ready to make a big impact at Littleton High School!
