After 17 years of teaching in various schools across the country and world, Mr. Bryan Rusin has decided to join LHS to teach social studies! This year, he’s teaching Early High School History, Honors U.S. History, and IB History.
Before now, he’s not only lived in Chicago, but he’s also lived (and taught) in the Marshall Islands and Guatemala! While teaching abroad, Mr. Rusin has learned more about our world and how we aren’t all living nearly the same lives, and he picked up Spanish along the way.
He has expressed his thoughts of this school as being “a small big school”, meaning that we can all be close with a lot of people while we’re here, and he’s looking forward to that as the days come to pass. He chose Littleton because of this feeling of community that he wants to have in his workplace, and for his daughter, who is going into high school next year.
One thing that a lot of people don’t know about him is that he played golf for the Illinois college team! Though he liked basketball a little bit more as a kid, he ultimately chose to play golf since he was better at it than basketball.
We are all very thrilled to invite Mr. Rusin to the Littleton High School family and to see the great things he achieves and helps others achieve in this year and in years to come!
