For about 25 years, LHS has had a set weekly schedule, where certain days of the week were going to be those specific even or odd classes. Now, the school year of 2025 has put that tradition to sleep.
With the new schedule change this year, there are a lot of mixed emotions. The seniors, juniors, sophomores, freshmen, and even some teachers all have their own opinions about whether or not the change is better, or if it’s inconvenient.
“I’m not a huge fan of it, but I’m a senior so I’ve had to deal with schedule changes since I got here, but I don’t like it because it’s really confusing, and sometimes I don’t show up to class because I get confused and forget if it’s odd or even classes that day,” said one of our students here at LHS.
“I don’t like it that much, but the amount of time I spend in my classes feels even for the week. Outside of school, I have a life coach that helps me, and now with the new schedule it’s complicated for me to set days that I can meet with them,” said another.
Asking some of the students to rate the schedule from 1-10, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst, the average was a 4/10.
“Personally, I love it because I feel like it’s a little more balanced this year than in prior years,” said one of our teachers at LHS.
Although our schedule this year can be a little confusing, we are adjusting to it. It seems that this schedule isn’t the worst, but also not the best. Therefore, Littleton High School has had its run with different schedules, and different student opinions and experiences with it, present and past.
