Whether you enjoy fun recipes, haunted houses, or just cozying up on the couch and watching a spooky movie, there is something for everyone this year!

Nothing screams fall more than going to a pumpkin patch and picking out that special one for you. Whether you’re carving it, using it for decor, or just doing it for the Instagram post, pumpkin patches are the place to be.

Going apple picking is another fun idea this season! Get outside, grab a basket, and spend the afternoon at the orchard with your friends. Pros of this activity: you get fresh air, delicious apples, and many amazing recipes. Or, you could turn it into even more! Bring along a blanket, food, and friends, and have a picnic at your local park. Being able to watch the leaves fall and the chill weather whip around you is another great way to spend your break.

Maybe you enjoy the spookier aspect of the fall season? You could attend a haunted house! Get that blood pumping and a little adrenaline boost, or maybe go to a corn maze and get your scare on. These are both great options for having fun with friends at night (and getting a little exercise at the same time).

Or maybe you are a sit-at-home and be still kind of person? The possibilities are endless! There are many options for just staying at home: you could bake up a new recipe, maybe pumpkin muffins/bread, apple crisp (extra credit if you picked the apples yourself), apple cider doughnuts, or even a pumpkin cheesecake, which I know from experience is amazing. Or, you could put some cinnamon and cloves with apple cider on the stove and get an amazing smell throughout your house along with a delicious drink to go along with a cozy movie night. Watching some cozy Halloween movies, or the more spooky ones for the horror fans out there, will really get you in the festive mood!

You could also take it one step further, and decorate your room/house. Putting up fall decorations, not only Halloween decor, really puts you in the spirit of the season. Or, if you lean more towards Christmas, once it starts getting the hint of cold, pull out those cooler colors and snowflakes and decorate away!

Either way, here are some awesome ideas to spend your fall break/weekends, whenever you feel like doing a fun activity. I hope these ideas were helpful, have a great month Lions!
