Lions vs. Cougars: An eventful night of Volleyball

LHS Lions getting ready to play

Last night, the Littleton Lions had a hard fought game against the Evergreen Cougars. The Cougars took home the win, but LHS played very well during the first match and won the second. We were neck-and-neck for the third match, but ultimately Evergreen won the fourth match of the game, leaving them with a score of 3-1.

The crowd and the court were very enthusiastic last night throughout the whole game.

“We have a lot of talks about trying to find good things in rallies,” said Varsity player, Sophia Rodriguez, who is a junior. Rodriguez has been playing for the team for all three years.

LHS came through with this plan, having strong plays during rallies (when the volleyball consistently gets passed over the net by both teams).

The Lions’ secret to staying positive on the court?

“We focus on the good,” said Rodriguez.

“We’ve all worked really hard to build up the culture and do a lot of team bonding. And I think volleyball is one of those sports that has a really good culture,” said Rodriguez, when asked about what her favorite part of volleyball is.

All of this dedication and positivity is impressive, and we are so proud of you, Lions! Keep up the good work.
