First, the 200 medley relay team, Brennan Williams, River Hawkins, Austin Hughes, and Caden Luther, swimming a 1:36.97 as well as the 100 Breaststroke, which was swum by Hughes in 57.94 seconds. The Head Coach, Andy Farner, won the 4A Colorado Coach of the Year. Coach Farner is very invested in his team and is so proud of their accomplishments. When asked about how the season went overall, he said, “I thought the season went better than expected. This group has a tremendous amount of talent, but it’s also very deep with high character and high academic student-athletes.”

Farner went on to talk about how the team has really grown both in and out of the water. They rely on each other for support and communicate well both during practice and outside of the pool. The 3 repeat wins during League is amazing for the team and school, and even though they did not win State, they got 4th place. This is incredible to see from a smaller team. “This has been the hardest group I have ever coached. It is rare for a group to actualize its full potential, but this group did…” commented Farner on the win. “They set goals and didn’t shy away from adversity or obstacles. I am so proud of everyone on this team.”
