Saturday, October 5 the Lions Cross Country team ran in the Cherry Creek Steve Lohman Invitational. The race took place at Cherry Creek High School and included multiple other high schools in the area.
Junior Evan Moore placed 10th in the Boys Varsity race. He ran with a new personal record of 16:69 for the 5k.
“I went out faster than I usually do so towards the first mile I fell back and drafted off of the other runners and stayed in a comfortable position. Once I hit the two mile marker I knew this is where I need to go. That’s where my race started and I moved up and took 10th,” said Moore.

Littleton placed third overall in this event, beating across town rival, Arapahoe by a few dozen points.
“The hardest part of the race was definitely mile 2. There was a long stretch on the dam. It was long, boring, and rough in general. But it was cold so that was nice,” said senior Blake Anderson.
Although the Girls Varsity team had no top 10 placements, they worked hard and many of them achieved new Personal Records for this season.

“The best part of the race was that it was a pretty flat course and fast mostly downhill,” said sophomore Grady Redding.
Littleton is next running their next meet Thursday, October 10 in the League Championship at Stoney Creek Golf Course.
