The LHS Boys Golf team finished their season on Tuesday, September 22, with strong performances from Seniors Thomas Kusner and Owen Stricker at Westwood Golf Club. Even though the team fell short of the State competition because the cut was so low, their season was still very strong and successful overall, and one for the seniors to remember.
Kusner, the #1 golfer on the team, shot his lowest round of the year at 77. He was excited for this successful end to his golf career at Littleton High School, and reflects on this. “It was honestly bittersweet for the seniors, because it is our last high school tournament ever,” he says. “And for me personally it was really fun for the last tournament.”
Stricker also played the best round of his season, and he shot an 82. Senior Ben Domer had a good last performance, shooting around a 90.
Head Coach Jared Prince was proud of the team for their strong placement throughout the season, especially this past Tuesday. “As a team, we beat some 5A schools that we don’t normally beat, so it was a good step forward.” Prince said. “We finished in the middle of the pack in League, and that was really good for us.”
The season ended well for LHS Boys Golf, and it is something that the team should be proud of!
