Three record stores but which one is better?

I have visited three different record stores in the Littleton and Denver area, which one is the best?

To start off I went to Records on Main Street, this is a cute small vinyl and cd store in downtown Littleton. They occasionally have live performances in the back of the store and other various events. They have a surprisingly large selection for being in such a tight space. If you are looking for a niche artist you may not have much luck. However they have many current popular artists and a lot of older ones too. It is a fun stop for when you are in Littleton.

My next stop was Angelo’s on Broadway in Englewood. Angelo’s is a two level record store with so much more than just physical music! They have posters, incense, t-shirts, DVD’s,  lava lamps and other fun music related or non related items. They also have a very wide selection, this is somewhere you could find your niche artist. They also have new releases in the front. They can be a little picked over at times but it is an over great experience and fun atmosphere.

My third and final stop is Twist and Shout on Colfax in Denver. This is a huge record store that buys and sells vinyls and CD’s. They also have a wide variety of music, new and old. This is one of the most visually appealing record stores I have been to. They also have fun random items and t-shirts. There are listing stations that you can listen to your used vinyl on. This is a great place to kill time if you’re in Denver.

In conclusion, the best place to go depends on your personal preference. If you like smaller local shops, Records on Main is perfect for you. If you like somewhere with a huge selection, Twist and Shout would be your jam. And if you like a bit of everything and want more than just music then Angelo’s is the place for you. If you can’t find what you are looking for in any of these shops you haven’t looked hard enough. Give all of these great places a visit when you’re nearby!
