Conflict On Stage - Lend Me a Tenor

Fall play ‘Lend Me a Tenor’ is a must-see

Our LHS thespians have worked really hard to put together ‘Lend Me a Tenor’, a show you definitely don’t want to miss.

This comedy show offers the experience of a young man named Max, who works for his girlfriend’s dad, and the hectic journey he ventures on when his “world-famous” tenor Tito Morelli is to perform his finest part on the grandest night in the company’s history. Max and his boss are starting to panic when Morelli is nowhere to be seen, and by the time he does show up, he doesn’t feel well enough to participate in any rehearsal.

Tito convinces Max to have a drink with him before the show, and ends up highly intoxicated. Tito Morelli is given a double dosage of tranquilizers through a humorous sequence of events, which causes him to pass out. Max and his boss are led to believe the man is dead because his pulse is so low. The following scenes add a great mix of comedy that also leave you wondering, what happens next?

Max’s boss manipulates him into wearing Morelli’s disguise in an attempt to trick the crowd. Even though Max is nervous, he still puts on the show, but what he doesn’t know is that Tito Morelli isn’t dead, in fact he’s just woken up to complete his second act. Now that there are two clowns, one being played by Max and the other being played by Tito, there are also two women each claiming to be with the “World Famous” Tito, causing a big farce on stage.

Lend Me a Tenor is being shown tonight, Friday October 13, at 6:15 pm, and Saturday October 14, at 1:00 pm and again at 6:00 pm. Tickets can be bought online or at the door.
