Firm Foundations Christian club begins this week

Littleton’s newest club is Firm Foundations Christian Club, the first Christian-focused club that LHS has had in a long time.

Founded by freshman Sam Morris and supervised by Mrs. Fisher, it is a space for students of all faiths to connect, discuss their beliefs, and gather inspiration.

Rather than establishing a chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) or Young Life, Morris created the name for the club, looking to lead it in its own direction.

At the first meeting, members got to know each other, share ideas about where the club is headed, and discussed what they were interested in.

Many ideas were shared, such as doing service projects, games, and having a different person lead each meeting.

The meeting ended with a prayer led by Morris, which was a touching way to finish.

The students present expressed their excitement for a space in the school to talk about Christianity and gain support from their peers. As Ms. Fisher noted, there really isn’t another club at our school with similar values and goals.

“I joined the club, curious to learn about their goals and meet new people,” said senior Luci Brendlinger who attended the first meeting with her sister. “I enjoyed how welcoming and open-minded the members were, and I am looking forward to having discussions, learning new things, and making friends,” she said.

Firm Foundations Christian Club will meet every Monday morning from 7:45 am – 8:15 am in Room 1742. Morris and everyone there are looking forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
