On the Friday of May 2, LHS had our prom assembly.
To kick it off, three members of the jazz band played a unique jazz rendition of the national anthem.
Throughout the assembly, announcements were made regarding clubs and activities. Boys swim announced that they were undefeated in their competitions, girls soccer was given an honorable mention for their performance this season, girls golf was revealed to be league champions, and track and field as well as girls tennis had made it to their league tournaments. To top it all off, DECA announced that they had performed exceptionally well at their nationals competition.
Along with the clubs and activities announcements, the assembly was filled with games and other activities. The senior athletes participated in the traditional tug-of-war match, and the assembly also featured a three-legged race, just to name a few out of the other activities.
Prom was also a major topic in the assembly, with the cutest couples, bromances, and gal pals being featured. Prom royalty nominees were also announced, and the winners will be revealed on the night of prom.
The next pep assembly will be the senior pep rally on Friday, May 16. Be sure to be there!
