Homecoming Dance 2025

Yesterday was the LHS 2025 Homecoming Dance!  With lots of music and fun decorations, students who attended had an enchantingly fun time!  The dance was from 7 to 10pm at LHS, with the theme of the dance being Fairytale.

The array of outfits differed significantly.  Some wore more formal attire, suits and dresses of varying lengths, while others wore outfits based on their favorite fairytale characters.  Seeing the mix on the dance floor was something uniquely LHS!

Freshman Leah Fortna and Halle Patterson both really enjoyed their first high school dance.  Both very much enjoyed the dance floor and getting the general experience.

“It’s pretty great, I love it!” said Fortna.

Patterson agreed with the statement, saying, “It’s very fun… it’s hype!”

Junior Massimo Ijs enjoyed the socialization, fun outfits, and general ambiance of the dance.

“It’s very pretty, all the decorations. And all the dresses,” said Ijs.

Senior Livi Ryan enjoyed the dance, especially considering that it’s her final one.  She loves the way that LHS students get to connect and spend time together at the dance.  Ryan has always enjoyed the Homecoming Dance, even inviting a student from another school to join her.

“Honestly, it doesn’t feel like I’m a senior.  It feels like I’ll be back here next year,” said Ryan, talking about how the Homecoming Dance has been such an important part of her high school experience.

Sophomore Orson Hoffelt, nominated Duke of the Homecoming Dance, also had a good time, and enjoyed the feeling of being royalty at a school dance.

“I’ve enjoyed being able to see people.  I like the energy,” said Hoffelt.

Overall, a great Homecoming Dance at LHS!
