Last Friday, our football team played against Niwot High School for our first football game of the year! Though we lost 58-14, the Lions fought hard the entire time.
Some highlights of the game were senior and quarterback Kai Durica throwing for 172 yards and having one rushing touchdown, Senior Matt Vinglas having a receiving touchdown and an interception, and Junior Grayson Perry having seven receptions and a total of 60 receiving yards.
“I feel like it went pretty well. It was a lot better than last year,” said Perry on how the team performed.
Another highlight was the Pride of Littleton Marching Band, who got to debut their new music and routines for the year at halftime. The fresh routines presented some great choreography from the colorguard, as well as some new musical numbers. The marching band wasn’t the only highlight of halftime, though. LHS Poms showed the crowd an impressive dance number, showcasing their skills.
Overall, the team put a good foot forward for the start of their season. The Lion’s next home game will be Friday September 25th at 7 pm.
