On Friday October 2, Littleton High School played their Homecoming game against Adams City High School. Despite a 50-0 loss, LHS showed up to cheer on their team and see some of the other homecoming spectacles.

The crowd was especially loud with their cheering, with many students participating in cheers to try to get the Lions to play well.

While the Lions didn’t win, there were some good plays played and good performances by some of the players. Junior Grayson Perry had 62 receiving yards, and the Lions totaled two sacks while on defense, one by junior Josh Howell and one by senior Valentino Quintana. The Lions also got a couple of first downs and they showed perseverance when driving the ball.

Before the game, LHS’ choirs performed a beautiful rendition of the national anthem as per tradition.

At halftime, the poms team performed their routine, followed by the Pride of Littleton marching band’s debut of the most recent installment of their show, A Night In Havana. After the show, Homecoming royalty was announced.

Ultimately, the game was fun to attend, and despite a loss, there were still some great things that happened.

LHS Football plays next on Friday October 9 at Thornton High School.
