LHS hosts amazing Jazz Band Concert with Goddard

This Tuesday, our amazing Littleton Jazz Band performed with the Goddard Middle School Jazz Bandits, and we had many solos and an amazing set.

They performed:

“Quintessentially Cool”

“Blue Skies”

“Milonga”

“Jammin’ with Charlie”

“Swing Fever”

“Soul Bossa Nova”

“Don’t Steal My Stuff”

“Only So Long”

“Splanky”

“Tico’s South Side Rumba”

Overall, I thought that all of the songs were amazing. I especially enjoyed “Soul Bossa Nova” and “Blue Skies”, as both songs had a very upbeat feel to them and a nice blend of instruments. Some soloists included junior Carson James, sophomore Leo Bontrager, sophomore Mattie Jeffries, and many more.

The LHS jazz band was able to include Goddard Middle School in their spring concert, which was very cool to see because it’s important to include them in events to keep our programs flowing with students. Another highlight of the night was the jazz band performing “Only So Long”, written by Littleton’s very own Ethan Ferguson. Ferguson is a pianist and wrote this tune, and it was performed by LHS for the first time during this concert. Good job, Lions!
