On Friday, September 19th, Littleton High School’s Mental Health team hosted a Popsicle Social out in front of the school to help bring attention to Suicide Prevention Month.

Students had the opportunity to write kind and encouraging messages on a large sheet of paper, in order to give individuals who may be struggling with mental health some positive motivation. In return, students got a free popsicle, bracelets, and had the chance to meet the many mental health support staff at LHS who are here to help any student.
Annie Fox, a senior at LHS, was one of the people who helped plan this event, and she is a member of a global organization known as “Stay Here,” that helps folks to become suicide-free and offers support to those needing it.
“I believe that Gen Z will be suicide-free, and I’m here to help spread that to Littleton as well,” said Fox, who has big dreams and high hopes for the future.
Mental health is a very important topic here at LHS. The Popsicle Social was a fun, successful way to involve the community and promote awareness. Thank you, LHS mental health team!
If you or someone you know is struggling with suicide, please call the Suicide or Crisis line or notify Safe2Tell. There are people here who can help.
