The LHS Unified Basketball team played at the Denver Nuggets Game on March 27th, and it was really fun! Before the game, I got the first shot for a free throw, after I had practiced in the dark. After that, I got a basketball and Rocky the mascot’s signature, and I was on TV two times! My partner was Axel, who helped me get rebounds. McKenzie from Silver Creek High School was also a Unified partner, and she helped Otto. During my practice, I made my shot, but when the lights turned on I didn’t make my free throw, but I was so close! Half of the Unified team were holding the American flag for the National Anthem, and during the Nuggets halftime show, I took a three-pointer and missed, but I was so close once again. Rocky was reading a book during his halftime, and then Rocky threw shirts to the crowd. In his second halftime show, Rocky tried to shoot the ball from half-court, but backwards! The Denver Nuggets Dancers wore Unified shirts, and when the Nuggets player shot a three-pointer the crowd was loud, and they shouted “1, 2, 3!”
