Lil Peep back with bigger and better hits!

Oh where to even begin! Lil peep, otherwise known as Gustav Elijah Ahr. Who is deceased, recently. Released a new album, HELLBOY, that was long awaited by many. During the last few weeks of September 2020 this album was released. This album contains anger, sadness, joy, confusion, and more. So many emotions brought out in a way one could relate to. For example, “the last thing i wanna do” might have a different message for people who look at the song with their own perspective.

His style may not suit many peoples’ fancies – however for some with a different approach, his music has hints of everything as he rages about heartbreak, memories, unfortunate drug events to the struggles of daily life. One thing, personally I love about Lil Peep as an artist, is that his songs can sound similar. Now, most artists release a variety of things, as does Peep. However, it brings a sense of similarity and comparison to the table and it shows him apart from the rest of the industry.

Each one of the songs on the new album represent something specific for me. For example “move on, be strong” and “the song they played”, go from talking about leaving a toxic relationship and our environment to talking about a broad variety of life struggles, such as stress, panic, and anxiety. Lil Peep always seems to touch on a variety of important daily life aspects that could be very apparent in one’s daily life more than others.

Some people, like myself, have an easier time expressing themselves through either their own music or relating to other words enough so that it helps them express their own feelings. A way of therapy, communication, and a sense of relief can be factors of this way of expression. As long as I have listened to Lil Peep, this has always been a true factor for me. A connection to self, and a relief of the daily struggles. I really think many people would enjoy this album even though the music styles might drift far from your own.
