Littleton boys varsity soccer faces tough loss to Far Northeast Warriors

Last Friday, August 27, our Littleton boys’ varsity soccer team hosted a match against the Far Northeast Warriors in our Littleton stadium. After a long and hard-fought battle by both teams, the final score was 1-5, Far Northeast taking the win. It was truly a tough loss for Littleton who exhibited outstanding effort and skill throughout the match.

Senior captain Max Klein offers some of his input on the game. “I think we could’ve done much better. 5-1, can’t be happy with that. We have to do better in the next 13 games,” he stated after the match.

After their 2-1 win over Peak to Peak High School on Wednesday, August 25, it was no shock that this was a wake-up call for the team.

“Wednesday we won 2-1, it was a pretty solid game and our first real game as a team. I thought we looked good but we still have to go up from here,” said Klein.

Regardless of the fact that the game ended in a loss for Littleton, the game was certainly a crowd-pleaser. It featured many exciting moments like multiple shots on goal and near misses, phenomenal saves by Littleton goalkeeper Aidan Papi, and even an insane bicycle kick by sophomore Forward Miguel Schlote!

Despite the outcome of this game, the future of LHS boys varsity soccer remains bright. Even after attending several hot and tiring summer training sessions, the team’s motivation has not faded. With a whopping 18 seniors on the varsity roster alone, it is evident that they’ll be bringing in many wins this season. Go Lions!
