Mr. Fisher joins the staff

Mr. Fisher is the newest addition to the Resource department.

Mr. Fisher worked last year at Arapahoe High School and substitute taught during the pandemic.

In December, Mr. Fisher will have his master’s in special education.

His hobbies outside of school are sports, sporting events, concerts, hiking, and hanging with his family. He helps or teaches are Science Fundamentals & Integrated Science 1-2,  Study Center, and Academic Workshop.

What made him want to become a teacher was the awards for working with young people. Mr. Fisher’s opinion is that, sometimes, working with students is better than with adults.

When asked what his intentions are, he said, “For right now continue doing learning support services and later become a case manager and learn the ropes.”

When Mr. Fisher was asked what he is looking forward to this year. He hopes to get to know students in class, figure out what works for them and see them grow personally and academically.

Also, Mr. Fisher has been almost hit by a door 2-3 times. He’s been making sure to leave his office earlier before the bell hits.

Mr. Fisher said that he wasn’t yet planning to oversee any clubs or activities. When spring comes around he plans to look at clubs or sports activities to do. Mr. Fisher hopes to be here for a while.
