New leadership in Littleton High School for the 2026-27 school year

This past week, Littleton Lions held elections for student body leadership positions. It was a very tough competition, but we are excited to announce that our new Student Body President is junior Fin Collins. The class president for the class of 2027 is junior Rachel Leatherman, and Public Relations is junior Lucy Watson, last but not least, our Student Body Secretary is junior Ella Chase.

Fin Collins has been an active member of student council since his freshman year and is very excited about the upcoming school year. His favorite part of student council so far has been “Planning everything for spirit weeks and collaboration with other groups on different events.” This includes events like prom and homecoming as well as things like Wish Week.

When talking to Collins about what he’s most excited about for the upcoming school year and what his biggest change he would like to make, Collins said ” Im very excited to be Student Body President and also all the activities that come with senior year. But the biggest change I would like to try to implement would be making an underclassmen outreach program.”

This would help freshmen and sophomores have a better support system and community as they navigate their first two years of high school. Allowing them to more easily reach out to upperclassmen juniors and seniors for anything they may need, and it also helps with exposing underclassmen to educational opportunities and guidance with not only standard classes but also AP and IB. This is a great idea, and we hope to see it happen in the future.

When talking to Collins about challenges he faced during his campaigning process, he said, “I didn’t really face any challenges while campaigning; it went relatively smoothly.” We are so happy to hear that our new Student Body President felt very confident in his abilities and didn’t face too much trouble while working towards this position.

We are so proud of everyone who ran for a position and admire all the hard work they have put into their campaigns. We can’t wait for the school year ahead and all of the steps we as Lions will take forward. Congratulations everybody!
