Objects That Hold My Heart by Alberta Thompson
For this project, I wanted to draw objects that hold a special place in my life. The Italian bookshelf caught my eye because of its beautiful design and the way each shelf feels like its own tiny world. I loved capturing the details and textures that make it unique. The bracelet is especially precious to me—my sister made it for me at camp, and its light green color always reminds me of her kindness. It also matches my mom’s light green sweater, which I wear almost every day because it makes me feel close to her, like I’m carrying a little bit of home with me. The football was something simple I found in my drawing class, but adding it felt right—it reminds me that sometimes small, unexpected things become part of our stories. Together, these objects show the mix of family, memory, and little moments that mean the most to me.
