Reese’s Peanut Butter x Oreos: the collaboration that we didn’t know we needed until now

This September, Oreo cookies and Reese’s Peanut Butter released a collaboration that is absolutely to die for, with each brand releasing their signature treat with a twist of the other brand’s flavor.

The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Oreos had the classic chocolate cookie with a Reese’s filling that is sweet and peanut-buttery. Oreo already has a peanut butter-flavored cookie that is really similar to the Reese’s one, but the Reese’s one is creamier. To make the cookie more unique, I wish that they had included a chocolate ganache center to sell the idea of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup a bit more, but the cookie itself was still amazing!

The Oreo Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup had a half milk chocolate, half white chocolate shell with the classic Reese’s Peanut Butter filling, with bits of just the Oreo cookie mixed into the filling. This was my favorite treat of the collaboration, because the flavors were spot-on for both of the treats! The white chocolate has the flavor of the cream in the center of the cookie, and the crushed cookies add an interesting texture to the cup, with an Oreo-chocolate flavor that pairs well with the classic peanut butter filling.

These treats are joining the permanent lineup for both brands, so there is no need to rush to try them! If you are really feeling crazy, you should try the cookie and peanut butter cup together, by sandwiching the cup in-between the two cookie layers.

Overall, this collaboration is absolutely worth trying! If you haven’t tried it yet, you absolutely should!
