Cobra Kai has been one of my favorite shows ever. This is the story of Cobra Kai.
Johnny Lawrence is one of the karate senseis in the show, and after a loss in the All Valley Karate Tournament 33 years ago, Lawrence reopened his old karate dojo known as Cobra Kai to teach a new generation of students, including Hawk, the ways of Karate.
The students from Cobra Kai compete in karate tournaments throughout the area until Lawrence crosses paths with his old karate opponent, Daniel LaRusso. Lawrence and LaRusso had been long-time rivals in karate, ever since the two battled in the All Valley tournament back in 1984; LaRusso defeated Lawrence, which resulted in a lasting grudge between the two. Throughout the first and second seasons, Lawrence and his students at the Cobra Kai dojo would take on LaRusso’s dojo, known as Miyagi-Do.
The feud between the two would spread to their student body, and the students would take their fighting outside the karate dojos. Lawrence’s old karate sensei, John Kreese, would come back in season two, and together he and Lawrence would teach the students new karate techniques. However, Lawrence and Kreese would have a falling out, resulting in Lawrence being removed from the Cobra Kai dojo. Hawk and some other students would follow suit, and in a turn of events, Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso would put aside their differences and join forces to form an army of Karate students in a new and improved Miyagi-Do Karate.
Out of all the characters in the show, I like Hawk the best because his mohawk is pointed, and it changes color throughout the series. It’s blue and black. Hawk is also a good fighter and is mentored by Johnny Lawrence throughout the show.
