On Friday at 6:30 p.m., the LHS Varsity Girls Basketball team played not only their first home game, but also their first game of the season against Thomas Jefferson High School.
The game marked an exciting start to the season, with a win!
From the opening tip-off, the girls showed strong teamwork and determination on both offense and defense. The players communicated well on the court, moved the ball effectively, and applied steady pressure throughout the game. Their hard work paid off as they maintained control and built momentum.
By the final buzzer, LHS secured the win with a score of 56-26, giving the team a confident start to the season. The victory set a positive tone for the rest of the year, and highlighted the dedication the players have put into practice.
