As two sisters we know what it is like to be in a band, fight, break up and reunite 16 years later. Or… that might be an exaggeration.
Released on September 11th, 2026, the Oasis documentary titled Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger focuses on the band’s reunion for their 2025 tour. It captures backstage interactions, rehearsals and interviews the brothers on their experiences before, during and after their large fight. It also shows how the two brothers put their differences aside to tour, including the first joint interview of Liam and Noel in over two decades.
Liam and Noel Gallagher formed the iconic Brit-Pop Band, Oasis, in 1991. While Liam started the band initially with himself as lead vocalist, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs on guitar, Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan on bass guitar and Tony McCarroll on drums. Noel was not a member of the band until a few months after the creation, as Liam asked him to join as vocals and lead guitar.
As the two brothers reunited for this tour, they mentioned their kids finally met each other as well. “When my kids met his kids, they didn’t know each other,” said Noel. The kids all met each other in their early to late twenties, having much of their lives to catch up on.
When asked about how it felt to rediscover the past and the two brothers’ relationships, Liam said, “Nostalgia is used as a bad word but I haven’t gotten a problem with it.”
Not only did the 2025 Oasis tour reunite a split family, but it also united generations of fans in the process. The younger generations who did not grow up in the 1990s Britpop era have now bonded with those who lived through it, sharing their love for Oasis and all that the band mean to people.
As Noel said, “We wrote this in the 90s and it’s a fascinating thing, that generation took the music in their hearts and gave it to their children.”
The documentary highlighted many different fans’ lives, and showed what Oasis meant to each of them. Ranging from many different countries and experiences, they all explained how deeply Oasis has affected their lives and what the band means to them. While they all were not mentioned by name in the documentary for anonymities’ sake, their stories impacted many viewers.
Manchester Arena Bombing Survivor: One Oasis fan from London has spent many years in pain and grieving after surviving the tragic 2017 Ariana Grande concert bombing. Saying she has suffered with “survivor’s guilt” she uses the song Don’t Look Back in Anger to help her be resilient and heal. The documentary also featured a tribute ceremony to those lives lost in the bombing, where hundreds of mourners sung along to the same song.
Brazilian Hardcore Fan: The documentary also showcased a hardcore Oasis fan from Brazil who explained how finding the Oasis fanbase in Brazil completely transformed their life. They showed how dedicated of a fan they truly were by even naming their dog “Bonehead” a tribute to the guitarist for Oasis.
South Korean Deep-Sea Divers: Lastly, the documentary featured two best friends from South Korea who are professional divers, spending long hours isolated for their jobs. They became best friends after finding out their shared love of the band, and heavily connected over their love for the track Acquiesce.
Recently, Oasis has started to tease a major tour announcement for 2027. With rumored stops in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and Boston, many fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement.
