After the announcement of current principal Cathy Benton’s resignation in March, LHS has been in search of a new principal. On April 19th, the LPS Director of Secondary Education Clay Abla was,
“Thrilled to welcome” the selected candidate, Dr. Thomas Velazquez.
Dr. Velazquez has
“Experience working in diverse educational environments and has a deep passion to provide excellent learning experiences for all students,” and has worked in education for more than two decades, including in other International Baccalaureate schools.
Dr. Velazquez has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language with a minor in Secondary Education and a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and Marketing from Colorado State University Pueblo.
