FBLA hosts a shoe drive to raise money for competitions

The FBLA is continuing one of their first fundraisers of the year. The club focuses on technological and career development for students around America. This year they are focusing on fundraising so they can go to state competitions and learn more.

They are partnering with the PTO to raise money so the club can go to state and district competitions later this year. They are also focusing on fundraising for the After Prom happening later this year as well.

The shoe drive has been happening for the past week and students have been bringing in new and gently worn shoes and placing them in the box that is in the main lobby. They are going to donate the shoes to people in need who are in our community.

Grace Muench is the PR officer for our FBLA organization and is very excited about the shoe drive. Their goal right now is to,

“Really publicize how beneficial getting shoes to people is. Continuing to publicize the shoe drive and raise money.”

There is an event today, Saturday 14th, in the school parking lot as a last drop off of shoes for the fundraiser. Find your gently worn or new shoes and bring them to the school to help out FBLA and communities in need.
