Girls basketball wraps up their season

This past Friday was the last game of the season for our girls basketball team. The girls had an amazing season with so many amazing accomplishments. They won ten league games and only lost one. The team played well together and over the span of the season, they created amazing bonds.

When asked about her favorite memory from the season, sophomore Lena Drakos described the aftermath of the team’s win against D’Evelyn. It was a very close game and she said after they won the girls “were all jumping and screaming because of how big of a deal it was.”

They play so well as a team and those little moments are what resonates with the team the most.

Unfortunately, the team lost their final game in the playoffs against Windsor, but put up a fight. The school sponsored a fan bus to take students to Windsor and fill up the student section, and it had a great turnout. Sophomore Emma Bird said her favorite memory from this season was the bus ride home from Windsor. She said the players were having a really great time an it was a fun way to spend their last night as a team.

Overall, it was an incredible season for our girls basketball team, and we are so proud of every player for being so outstanding this season. Well done girls!
