LHS Boys Golf qualifies for state, “bright future” for team

LHS Boys Golf has made some great progress over the past month. Three LHS Students qualify for state competition and are competing soon. Let’s take a deep dive look into this year’s team and see how they’re holding up.

Mr. Prince is an avid golfer himself. So much so, he is the head coach of the golf team here at LHS. Prince is very excited for this year’s team and the future of LHS Boys Golf.

Prince has a very optimistic view of this year’s team, and for good reason. Prince says, “This is the best team we’ve had in close to 20 years. We qualified a team for the first time in over 20 years, with three individuals (Noah Abramson, Dane Price, and Jack Finch) playing in state.”

Prince is ready to get the underclassmen pumped and ready for next year, and also says that JV has a bright future.

“Hopefully we can repeat what we did this year,” said Prince.

One avid golfer at LHS is Noah Abramson. As a state qualifier golfer, he enjoys the competitive spirit that the Littleton golf team has built over the years. He believes that this year’s team is on a good track and is excited to see that the team is still scoring well after several teammates left last year.

“This year’s season has been going good. I’ve had some ups and downs for tournaments but I’ve scored pretty well,” said Noah Abramson.

Noah has scored 12th in the state, alongside his friends senior Dane Price (who placed 11th) and junior Jack Finch (who placed 13th).

“Our team is probably 3rd or 4th this year, and we have played all 6 regional games,” said Abramson.

Jack Finch is another devoted golfer and is excited to be at state. Moral and excitement for next year seem to be high, according to Jack.

“The golf season is going great, I can’t wait until next year because of the Friends, and experiences with regionals,” said Finch.

Jack is also a big fan of the coaches, like Prince, as well as assistant coaches Mr. Wentz and Mr. Cox.

“The coaches this year are great because they set up great drills for us to practice as well as give us confidence for tournaments,” said Finch.

Overall, this year’s team has made some great progress. The coaches are doing a good job getting students ready, and the students are excited to play in the future.
