On Thursday, September 25, the amazing Fall Concert with Choir and Orchestra took place, with many fabulous performances from both the choir and orchestra.
The orchestra started with Richard Meyer’s “Folk Song and Shanty”, then Brian Balmages’ “Lullaby to the Moon”. Lastly, they played Brian Balmages’ “Riverside Celebration”, bringing a Southern charm to the performance.

It was a particularly impressive show for the choirs, who had only been working together for 5 weeks. Their voices were amazing, and they also incorporated some fun dance moves, captivating the audience.
LHS Singers sang “Happy Together” by Audrey Snyder, also “Shambhala” by Kirby Shaw, and lastly, “It’s All Right” by Robert T. Gibson. They spotlighted many of their singers’ voices throughout the performances with solos.

Treble choir performed “Bright Morning Stars Are Risin’” by Audrey Snyder and “Riversong” by Andy Beck.
The Tenor/Bass Choir is an all-male choir. They sang “Wayfaring Stranger” by Greg Gilpin and “The Wellerman” by Lisa Benincasa. They put on an excellent performance that really entertained the audience, with fun costumes and moves!
The Syrens sang “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish, from the Barbie Movie, arranged by Jennifer Lucy Cook, as well as “Take This Gift” by Tracy Wong, creating a performance that tugged on the heartstrings.
Lastly, the Troubadours performed “In the Mist” by Kate Crellin, “Lux Aeterna” by Ruth Morris Gray, and “You Can’t Step Twice (Into the Same River)” by Brian Tate. It was a fantastic way to end the show.
Overall, you could see the hard work all of the students put into their performances, and it paid off!
