This year, three seats in the Littleton Board of Education were up for a reelection. Joan Anderssen and Andrew Graham each won their second term, and Sean O’Shea won his first term on the board. All three will serve Littleton Public Schools until 2029.
Joan Anderssen is returning for her second term. Anderssen has lots of experience from working at Arapahoe Community College and being a liaison between the community college and the Colorado Department of Education. From her background in finance and economics to her different exploits and endorsements by representatives and a senator, as well as Colorado Education Association, she hopes to provide LPS students and their families with affordable housing. This way, more students are inclined to move into Littleton, hence increasing funding, safety, concurrent enrollment, and technology advancements.
Andrew Graham is also returning for his second term. His background is enriched with experience in entertainment, volunteering, and healthcare. For volunteering, he worked with the East Community Center board and the Visionary Committee for EPIC campus, as well as various other endeavors relating to public service. His past ventures are rooted in various different fields, and by having endorsements from Colorado’s Forward Party, he supports mental health, school safety, and parental support.
Sean O’Shea has been elected for his first term. With a rich history in Littleton, he has worked with various charitable organizations benefiting the Littleton area and community. He is the executive director of the Binning Family Foundation and is working with a multitude of other services. His skill sets and experiences are based in helping and providing for students and the greater Littleton Community, and with endorsements from teachers and past education officials he aims for a “student-first” solution, student stability, and student success.
