My experience as a CHSAA State Representative

My experience as a CHSAA State representative included meeting other reps around Colorado. I have met lots of new friends. At the conferences, I listen to what they do at their schools, and bring those thoughts back to Littleton for new ideas for our school.

I have been to a couple CHSAA Conferences. In those conferences, I learned about leadership, team bonding, and how to get more schools involved in Spread the Word. Involvement includes Instagram posts, posters, and lots of other stuff, so that people know the events at their schools, sportsmanship, sports, and planning. At the sportsmanship conference, I talked about our sportsmanship on our cross country team, and how we give water to other teams once they are done with their race.

I had to do an application, and completed it with help from my mom, Corey, and Ms. Meaghan. I had to explain why I want to be a CHSAA State Rep, and I made a video. I had to talk about myself and what I do at LHS, and explain important things in the video. When I got the email I was just hanging out in my center based-learning classroom, and I was so happy that they chose me to be a representative. The first person I told was Ms. Meaghan, then Cory, and then my parents. All of them were so happy and so proud that they chose me to be a CHSAA Rep!

Last summer, I went to a CHSAA Leadership summer camp to listen to other students around Colorado, and to find out what they do at their schools and listen to more Leadership things. At the CHSAA Leadership camp, we had meetings with Make-a-Wish about what they do for Make-a-Wish kids to help them make their wish come true, and they get to go to places like Disneyland or Disney World, a basketball game, baseball games, or hockey games. The Make-a-Wish kid comes to high schools pep rallies to see the people who made their wish come true!
