LHS Boys Basketball versus North High School

Last night, January 13th, the LHS Lions Boys Basketball team played against the North High School Vikings.  It was a lively game that had the audience on the edge of their seats!

There was a quick start to the game.  Within the first minute of the first quarter, senior Stephen Raddatz scored the first 2 points for LHS.  This was quickly followed by 2 more points scored by junior Tyler Griffin.  The rest of the quarter was a battle between the two teams, ending in a score of 11 LHS and 26 North.

The second quarter began stronger for North, with several 2 pointers.  Despite a rough start to the quarter, LHS bounced back with Griffin and senior Colin Osher both scoring 3 pointers and baskets through the quarter.  The first half of the game ended with a score of 20 for LHS and 44 for North.

During halftime, the Poms performed their dance, which had won them top ten at the state competition.  Throughout the game, they continued to cheer on the players and lead chants for the crowd.

The third quarter followed similarly to the second quarter, with more points scored by Griffin.  The final score of this quarter was 35 for LHS and 62 for North.

The final quarter started quickly, with points scored by both North and LHS within the first minute.  In the final quarter, LHS players sophomore Noam Henrich, Raddatz, and Griffin all scored 2 and 3 pointers.  The final points of the game were scored by junior Fin Collins within the last five seconds.  The final score of the game was LHS 49 and North 80.

Despite the loss, the audience remained enthusiastic and loud throughout the game.  The next home game will be this Saturday, January 17th at 1PM.
